The two maps below show the road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010
The top diagram represents the 2007 view of the way to the city hospital, and directly below the subsequent 2010 map that illustrates the growth and expansion around the city hospital. This report will highlight the similarities and differences.
As an initial overview, both the views present common elements, although in different measures. These include bus station and car park. Noticeably newly planned changes include a roundabout and public car park.
The 2007 map reveals that the city hospital has only one exit/entrance which is through the car park: public and staff. However, the 2010 plan depicts that the hospital provided two car parks, one for the staff and the other for the public. Entrance/exit is available through both the car park spaces. The bus station underwent a drastic change in three years, in the beginning it was located on the east and west side of the hospital road but in 2010 the size of the bus station nearly tripled itself and was positioned to the west of the hospital road while connecting it to the two roundabouts.
Another addition made to the roads connecting the city hospital was the implementation of roundabouts. First roundabout connects the city road, hospital road and bus station and thus providing seamless movement of traffic. While the second one binds the Ring road, hospital road and bus station. On a final note, the ring road around the hospital was only altered to provide another entrance other than that it pretty much remained the same.
