The given pie charts detail the statistical surveyed information revealing the proportional usage of water in San Diego and California compared to the entire world's water distribution for mainly three purposes( residential, industrial, and agricultural).

Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the majority of water in San Diego and California is used for residential purposes followed next by the industrial sector. However, with a reverse trend, the world's predominant sector order is agriculture, industry, and residential.

According to the given illustration, nearly 3 in every 5 units of water is diverted to the residential areas in San Diego as compared to just below 40% in California. However, of the total water, nearly 11% fewer units are invested in the industry in San Diego, while 28% is utilized for the same in California. Although the respective proportions varied largely, both the countries followed a similar sectorial trend in water usage.

In contrast, the share of water at the world's level in agriculture accounts for 69%, twice the industrial requirements in California, and just 9% below as used in San Diego for the residential areas.
