The diagram B shows how to get water from wells to irrigation channels. First, a system of pulley, rollers and ropes is placed at the top of the well which has a depth of 50 meters . After that, a bucket in which water is hold are tied with the tail of the ropes. Finally, a cow is fastened with the heads of the ropes. The process begins when the cow comes near the well so the length of the rope inside the well gets longer. Hence, the bucket can fall down far enough to let water go inside it. When the cow walks down on the slope, the bucket is pulled up to the top of the well and water is poured into the irrigation channels.
The diagram A shows how to collect water from irrigation channels to fields. This task is completed with a simple system built with a basket made of bamboo or leather and 4 ropes. These ropes are tied with the sides of the basket: 2 ropes in a side and 2 others in the opposite side. There are 2 people standing next to a 1-2 metres depth irrigation channel. Each of them hold 2 ropes connected with the basket. Next, they throw the basket into the channel to get the water. Finally, the basket is pulled up and moved towards to the fields to force water inside it to come out.
