The pie charts illustrate the average proportions of three different substances (sodium, saturated fats and add sugar) in various meals (breakfast, dinner, lunch, snacks) consumed by people living in the America.
Overall, It is clear that sodium and saturated fat made up the highest proportion in dinner. While, the proportion of added sugar in snacks was the highest. It is also noticeable that the figures for sodium, saturated fat and sugar took up the lowest rate in breakfast.
In terms of dinner, the amount of sugar added accounted for 23%. Whereas, the figures for sodium and fat were considerably higher than that of sugar, with 43% and 37% respectively. However, citizens living in the USA consumed less sodium, sugar and fat when they had breakfast, with only 14%,16% and 14% respectively and these figures were significantly lower than that of dinner.
Regarding to snacks, sugar made up the highest ratio, with over a half, twice as much as the rate of saturated fat and considerably higher than that of sodium, by 28%. Last but not least, for lunch, the amounts of sodium and fat consumed accounted for a third and 26% respectively. While the figure for added sugar is slightly lower, with 19%.
