The diagram below shows how salt is removed from sea water to make it drinkable. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram, which separates salt from seawater in order to make it drinkable, is a little complex. In addition to the complex structure of the diagram, the action takes a lot of steps.
As regard the first, salt water gets into the pretreatment filter through the tube. Then saltwater continues with the second filter. The filter consists of a perforated structure that forces water molecules through the membrane at high pressure. As a result, the membrane holds salt, and impurities, while backwash of the filter and seawater concentrate returns to the sea. Thus salt becomes removed from the water.
The separated water gets into the post-treatment filter which has lime, chlorine, and fluoride in it. Eventually, water gets to the storage in order to go to an integrated water supply system.
As a consequence water becomes drinkable. Even though there are so many steps, it ends at the water supply system with the aim of deploying the drinkable water.
