These diagrams illustrate the following information respectively, the bar chart indicates number of male participants in comparison with females, in each of four subjects. The pie chart shows the share of different age groups among the attendees, during 2009 in an adult education centre.
Based on the bar chart, in most classes, women consist the majority, except for sculpture. Moreover, the pie chart implies that the biggest proportion of members are aged above 50 years.
In addition, women are twice men in two courses, namely, drama and language. Whereas, in painting class, there are nearly the same number of women as men. On the other side, the sculpture class is the opposite, with half female participants as male, while this course seems to be the least popular amongst other courses.
In terms of age, the attenders are divided within five different age groups in the pie chart, as we discussed before, 42 percent of registrations belongs to the oldest members. Whereas the least interested age range are teenagers. Overall, the older the people, the more they registered in the courses.
