Last month, you travelled to another city. You told a friend who lives in the city that you would meet them, but you did not. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
• apologise for not meeting him/her
• explain why you did not contact him/her earlier
• suggest a time and place to meet in the future
Dear Michael,
I am writing this letter to apologize for not meeting you last month. I was excited for our startling plan but I feel terrible that I could not make it up.
As I told you, it was a business trip which had a crucial deal needed to be accomplished. Fortunately, the meeting was successful, and as per the plan I was about to come to you; however, the client called for an urgent presentation about the company that I could not left. Therefore, I could not get time to come to the decided venue. Besides, the meeting was so abrupt that I could not even inform you in advance.
Furthermore, I have another meeting scheduled with the same organization next week in the same town, but only for two hours. I promise that I would meet you on the next Tuesday evening in the Southern mall. I am looking forward to spend great time with you.
Thanks,
Chirag
