The pictures give us information about the population of people in Japan from 1950 to 2055. To conclude, the statistics show that the number of elder people reach a peak in population in the end of the period, however the others population was decreased dramatically in the same years.
From the pictures, we can see the number of population steady increase around 5 million in every 5 years until 2005. 2005 the population in Japan reached a peak in 127.8 million and decreased slightly until 125.4 million in 2015, however in the years after 2015 the population will decline dramatically, then was gradual rebound around to the same level in the beginning of the periods.
A closer look at the data reveals that the number of elderly people in Japan have stood at over than 30 million from 1950 to 2035 years, and will diminish around 1 million in 2055. However, the proportion of the elder population increased slightly from 4.9% in 1950 to 41% in 2055, it means that the other ages population except old-fashion decreased dramatically.
