The table below shows the worldwide market share of mobile phone market for manufacturers in the years of 2005 and 2006
This table is illustrating the worldwide market share of mobile phone market by manufacturers between 2005 to 2006.
According to the table, Nokia is the largest market share in both 2005 and 2006, even more there was slight increase by 2.5% in the following year, which made Nokia taking 35% of overall market.
Despite the largest market share, there is a surprising increase of Motorola’s market share, increased by 3.4% within one year, which made Motorola the highest increase of market shares in 2006. Additionally, Sony Ericsson’s market share also increased in some degree.
Another striking trend is shown in Ben Q mobile, which decreased by 4.9% to 2.4% in 2005 to 2006. Not only Ben Q mobile, but also Samsung and LG’s market shares are dropped by 1.1% and 0.4% comparatively.
The table also highlighting the fact that other manufacturers market share is significantly fall by 3% in 2006.
In sum, Nokia is still in the largest market share of mobile phone manufacturer and conversely, other manufacturer’s market share is moderately decreased that year.
