The given chart delineates comparative data about the number of noise complaints received by the Environmental Health authorities in Newtown city during the year 1980 to 1996.
The staggering fact was road works complaints were dwindling after the year 1980 . Also the majority of complains came from the Domestic or household .
In the year 1980 ,noise complaints of factories were 400 and after their subsequent year the complains were snowballing .The complains of factories were between 600 to 800 in 1986 to end of the year .In 1980, the complains of roads works were their peak point ,however there were significant reduction in the complaints and declined up to the 100 complains in 1996.
It was apparently seen that, during the year 1980 to 1984 the complains of traffic noise and household were constant . After 1984 , complains were go down up to the 200 and 400 in traffic noise and household. Eventually, there was upward trend in complaints of traffic noise and household , after 1988 and reached their highest point was 600 and 1250 respectively.
