The line graph illustrated the information about the three types of spread such as margarine, low fat and reduced spread and butter and the consumption in grams in between 1981 to 2007.
Firstly, in 1981, the consumption of butter was nearly 140 grams and it peaked to approximately 160 grams in 1986 while, this consumption suddenly went down to 100 grams in 1991. After then, the trend of butter spread had been decreased gradually and reached to nearly 50 grams in 2007. Furthermore, low fat and reduced spread was now popular before 1996 and in 1996 only 10 grams was consumed. In contrast, the trend was inclined suddenly and went down to nearly 80 grams while, this trend was slightly declined in 2007.
Secondly, only 90 grams margarine spread was consumed in 1981 while, this consumption was fallen down slightly in 1986. Moreover, this trend again increased in 1991 and stayed steady till 1996 but again decreased with some fluctuation and reached to 40 grams.
Overall, butter was most popular in 1891 but it had been replaced with margarine and low fat and reduced spread whilst, low fat and reduced spread was most popular and margarine was least popular in 2007.
