A friend who lives in another country has invited you to come and stay with him/her on your next holiday. You are too busy to accept the invitation. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter, Thank him/her for the invitation. Explain why you cannot come.
Dear Smriti,
I am writing this letter to inform you with lot of regret that I would not be able to join you in the coming holiday in Pondicherry.
Firstly, let me thank you for the invitation for the pondicherry trip. I know you had put a lot of effort in organising the trip co-ordinating with everyone from our school group. I was really looking forward to the fun time with all of our friends after the lockdown of last year.
Coming to my cause for cancellation, I need to go home urgently as the deal finally came through for the apartment that I was purchasing. I had tried my best to push the signing by a week, however, the owner of the house has some emergency personal work and requested to prepone the meeting.
Lastly, I am very sorry that I will not be able to make it. Please do take lot of pictures and have a blast in the vacation. I hope to see you in Bangalore next month in your birthday party.
Yours Faithfully,
Madhulika
