The maps below show the village of Stokeford in 1930 and 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The illustration below displays how the geographical organization of Stokeford has changed in the years between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, during this period, farmland has been replaced everywhere by the construction of new buildings and roads, while half size of the garden in the right has been preserved.
To the left of the main road, a significant number of new houses have been built, taking the place of two former shops and of farmland, which was dominant in the past century. In addition, two new roads, starting from the main one, have been constructed to enable the access to the new edifications. Yet, the position of the post office, located between the river Stoke and the main road, has remained unchanged.
Moving to the right side of the city it is noticeable that the farmland has been replaced by new houses as on the left side. Moreover, a tree has been chopped down to be replaced by a new road with some houses on its sides. At the end of this road, they have built both a retirement home, which has replaced the old large house, and a path to reach it.
