Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Household accommodation has been categorized based on owned and rented for England and Wales from 1918 and 2011 in the given chart. From 1961 the changes are shown in 10 years interval till 2011, before that three other years are mentioned which are 1918 then 21 years later, starting of the second world war 1939 ad then 1953.
The first thing noticed here is that owned accommodation faced an upward slope till 2001 and rented accommodation experienced an downward slope till 2001. But in 2011 both the process had an change in their trend in its overall household contribution. It is seen that in 1971 the percentage constituents of both types of households were same.
From the beginning people of England and Wales had the tendency of living in rented house, with time which declined indicating that people of these countries preferred owning home and as a result they worked towards it and over the time of hundred years they shifted the dynamics.
There were no changes during 1939 to 1953 in the living condition of people, this synchronizes with the fact that after world war it took some time for people to focus on their basic needs and overcome the economic impact of the war. However in 2011 the trend is seen to be set in opposite direction.
In sum it can be said, the preference of housing accommodation indicates a lot of socio-economic condition of the people living in that country the graph presented gave a lot of information regarding choices in coherence with economic condition for 2 countries over almost a century.
