The bar chart shows the difference between the total number of females and male athletes entered in the Olympics and the line graph represents the overall number of participants in the Olympics between 1924 and 2012.
Overall, male athletes were at the top position as compared with women throughout the time. Whereas the number of participants had been increased in the games in the given time.
To comments with, there was a significant difference between the figures of males and females in 1924, with 3000 players males standing first. Moreover, the total participant number for both gender showed an upward trend in the following period, male rose over 6000 players, while with narrowing difference women stand with nearly 5000 players in 2012.
Furthermore, the total proportion of players who have taken part in the Olympics was nearly 2400 players on average in 1924, which was increased drastically to 6500 players until 1984. Surpassingly, it was inclined hugely closely to 10000 players in 2012.
