The charts depict the prevalence of a host of mediums by which individuals can keep themselves well-informed and give information on the level of people's trustability in connection with those sources of news.
Overall, people put their trust in local television news the most, whereas online-only news websites seem to be the least reliable. Additionally, in terms of ubiquity of news sources, local news showed on TV were also in the top tier with its percentage reaching 80% mark, nevertheless, newsreaders were not in favor of magazines for getting day-to-day information with only negligibly 40% used.
As per the chart, besides local news, national networks and radio news are those of the most trusted sources to keep people from living under the rock with merely 50% each. However, the number of people who do not trust the former is approximately 5% higher than that of the latter. In addition, newspapers equalized radio news in terms of distrust as both received a 10% for that matter.
About the news sources used, national networks and newspapers were used somewhere in the vicinity of 70%. Furthermore, radio news, online-only sources, and magazines had a difference of nearly 10% with nearly 60%, 50%, and 40%, respectively,
