The line graph illustrated the proportion of residents in four regions: Australia, Asia, UK and others.
Overall, at the beginning the number of people living in Asia is the lowest, while the highest is in Australia. When it comes to 2011, UK accounted for the lowest, whereas Australia remained the same.
In 1976, residents in Asia amounted of more than 2.5% and substantially rose up to around 7.5% in 1996, before reaching the peak at 15% in 2011. In other areas, the rate of people began at about 12% in 1976, then went down to the lowest at nearly 8% in 1991, after that, this figure climbed up to 17% in 2006 and fell down in 2011 at the percentage of 12%.
About the other two countries, 13% was the beginning point of the proportion of people in UK, however, it took a dramatical decrease to 5% in the year of 2011. For Australia, 23% is the amount of people living there in 1976, which this trend dipped down to more than 20% in 2006, before peaking at 25%.
