International student enrolment in British universities 2009-2014
The bar chart gives us information on the portion of foreign students who had taken courses in British universities in 2009 and 2014.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that in most the universities the enrollment had increased than the previous period, except Liverpool and Cardiff. In the case of increment, Birmingham and Edinburgh were on the top.
To benign with first 4 universities, in Manchester, in 2009, only 6% of pupils came from other countries, just after 5 years, it went up to 8%, while in Liverpool, in both years had the same value which was 8%. Moreover, in 2014, 12% of the total pupils from abroad enrolled courses in Birmingham which was 4% greater than in 2009. In addition, in Brighton, 12 and 13% of international scholars made their enrollment in 2009 and 2014 respectively and this university had the highest number of foreign students than all others.
Turning to the last 6 Universities, according to the graph all had a similar trend except Cardiff, which’s the percent of enrolled abroad students drifted of from 2 to 1%. Glasgow and Huddersfield both climbed up with 2%, while Edinburgh had 3% in terms of enhancement from 3 to 6%. Finally, Leeds was the second university for foreign student's enrollment, in 5 years it rose from 9 to 10%.
