Overall, it is apparent that coal and gas collectively made up for more than half of the energy production in both years. Remarkably is the decrease of energy made from petro, which is correspondent with the increase of nuclear and other energy
To begin, the energy generation from gas and coal was roughly even and was not witnessed with any drastic shift through a 10-year period. They together dominated the whole French energy production in 2 years with approximately 30% each. On the other hand, petrol saw a nearly 10% decline in its energy production, from 29.27% to 19.55%
The energy produced from nuclear and other sources always accounted for the least, however, they grew significantly from 1995 to 2005. Specifically, there was about a two-fold growth in other energy generation from 4.90% to 9.10% and around 4% was added to the figure of nuclear
