The given bar chart depicts the number of passengers travelling to three main airports of New York city from 1995 to 2000.
Overall, it is clear that LaGuardia airport was the most used one in most years, apart from the year 1997. In addition, the number of visitors to all given airports experienced considerable increases over the period of 5 years.
In 1995, about 35 millions people used LaGuardia airport, which was nearly 10 millions higher than John F.Kennedy airport. The lowest number was recorded in Newark airport, which was over 15 millions passengers. Over the next two years, the number of people using Joh F.Kennedy airport rose dramatically to around 48 millions in 1997, making it the airport with highest figure in this year. Similarly, the figures for LaGuardia airport and Newark airport grew to about 42 millions and just below 40 millions respectively.
By 1999, John F.Kennedy airport’s passenger number dropped to just over 30 millions, but then recovered to around 43 millions in 2000. Meanwhile, the figure for LaGuardia airport climbed up to its peak of just under 70 millions in 2000. From 1998 to 2000, the number of people using Newark airport levelled off at just above 40 millions.
