The diagrams below show changes in Felixstone in the UK between 1967 and 2001.
The pictures illustrate many alterations in Felixstone in the UK from 1967 to 2001
Overall, over a 34-year period, many shifts were taken place mainly for tourism as the addition of more accommodation and beaches. In addition, significantly farmland, fish market, pier and marina were demolished to make way for new facilities
In 1967, there were two lines of shops situated between a golf course and the farmland, which were divided by High street. To the southern part, a fish market was located opposite the farmland and in the northeast of a marina and a pier. On the west side of the map, dunes formed in the middle of a greenery area and a hotel- adjacent to a café. And there was the sea at the end of the map which still stayed the same till 2001
In 2001, remarkably farmland was removed to make way for a new area which consisted of a hotel to the right, a swimming pool to the left, together being opposite tennis courts. Moreover, the right line of shops was replaced by apartments and beaches were constructed and separated into public and private sectors, replacing the fish market, marina and pier. A new car park was also added right in the west of the old hotel and wind turbines were placed opposite the dunes. Eventually, other infrastructures remained intact
