Nowadays, sports is a big business with high earnings for professional sports people and companies involved both financially and other ways. Is this a positive or negative development for sports?
It is true that many business companies invest to sports and this makes both companies and people who are professional sports players can have profits. Personally, this has positive and negative effects for sports.
First of all, there are a lot of advantages when big companies invest on sports. The first advantage is that it creates opportunities for sports players who are skillful at their type of sports such as football, basketball, and so on. As a result, these people become famous and have a lot of money through playing sports. For example, Ronaldo is the most famous football star that everybody knows in the world thanks to his football skills. Secondly, due to the social media, people nowadays want to entertain by watching sports through the TV's screen and this leads to many big companies begin to invest on sports to serve the community. Therefore, these companies can gain lots of money by recording sports events to show for people. Moreover, providing funds to sports, companies can find many talented players and train them properly so they can make profits for them.
On the other hand, there are still having some drawbacks when companies involve sports. The first disadvantage is that some companies control matches of the game for their own purposes. This makes players can not play like their best and must follow orders, which can destroy the value of sports. For instance, in football, few companies use money to set up scores to the team they want and this creates unfair between two teams. The second drawback is that people who really good at sports, when working with big companies, they will suffer huge stress and problems and they also need to train harder if they do not want to get fired.
In conclusion, sports become more and more famous thanks to nig companies and professional sports players. This creates opportunities for them. However, it also a challenge for them to overcome.
