The given bar chart illustrates the spending of France and the UK on consumer commodities in 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that cars were the most preferred category by citizens in both examined countries. Furthermore, French people allocated more budget to computers and perfume in 2010, whereas the opposite was true for consumers in the UK in terms of cars, books, and cameras.
Regarding the former kind of goods, the year 2010 witnessed modest gaps between expenditures of two nations. Citizens in France spent nearly 380.000 pounds on purchasing computers, which is relatively higher than that of England people. The gap was more significant in the perfume group, which the budget for this kind of goods in France and the UK was 200.000 and 140.000 pounds, respectively.
For the remaining categories, the domination of the UK in terms of expenditure was remarkably obvious. The spending on cars in the UK, which was also the most popular goods, accounted for 450.000 pounds, higher 50.000 units compared to French's expense. The money was allocated for books in both countries was 400.000 and 300.000 pounds, respectively. Similarly, the UK citizens took aside 350.000 pounds for buying cameras, which was around twofold than that of the other subject.
