The table below gives information about the values (NZ$) of exports of kiwi fruit from New Zealand to five countries between 2010 and 2012.
The table illustrates the comparison between the value of exports of kiwi fruit harvested from New Zealand to five countries, namely Japan, China, Mexico, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, from 2010 to 2012.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that Japan was New Zealand's largest export market during the period given. Additionally, while China's imports rose gradually and were the second-highest throughout the period of 2 years, and Russia witnessed a similar trend in China and ranked fourth, the value of exports to Mexico and Saudi Arabia decreased progressively.
Japan achieved the top spot, and this nation's figure for Kiwi import value was $271,000,000 in 2010, following an upward trend that skyrocketed to reach a peak of $325,000,000 in 2012. Likewise, New Zealand's export earnings from China's kiwi fruit market began in $74,900,000 in 2010, increased gradually, and finished at $94,000,000 two years later. Furthermore, Russia's import value started at $968,000 and grew dramatically to hit its highest amount of $2,404,000.
On the contrary, Mexico's figure for kiwi imports undergoes fluctuations. It began in $6,000,000 in 2010, fell sharply to $2,400,000 in 2011, and then recovered to $3,330,000 in 2012, which is less than the amount in 2010 by $2,700,000. However, this is still higher than New Zealand's export collections from China's kiwi fruit market by $926,000. Whereas it can be noticed that Saudi Arabia's import value decreased dramatically, from $290,000 in 2010 to $82,000 in 2012. Over the period of 2 years, the standing of nations that were New Zealand's crucial partnerships in the importation of Kiwi fruit was still the same as in 2010, with Japan taking the lead, followed by China, Mexico, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, importing the least amount of Kiwi fruit.
