The comparison in six different patterns of employment among males and females in the UK in 1992 is displayed in the pie charts, shown in percentage.
Overall, both women and men in Great Britain were more likely to choose craft or similar and both managerial and professional employment. However, a difference was shown that most of males preferred employed in other manual jobs, while females mostly chose clerical or related ones.
As per data, the vast majority of British men were most employed in managerial and professional work at more than a third, while females in this tasks were almost 30%. Nevertheless, the most popular employment of women are clerical or related jobs at three in ten, and males in this accounted for only a fifth of the counterpart.
When it comes to craft or similar category, both sexes shared a similar rate at around a quarter, while men in Britain in other manual one was higher at almost a fourth than women at only a seventh of men’s proportion. Furthermore, other non-manual one was less well-known in these two genders at below one in ten. Lastly, the figure for general laborers was the most minority, showing the percentage at below one in twenty.
