These graphs show the amount of people, who go to and leave UK from 1979 to 1999 and which countries are mostly visited by UK residents in 1999.

The period between 1979 and 1984 see an even grow both in number of UK residents who visit abroad and people from other countries – visitors of the UK. After 1984 there is a significant increase in number of UK people who left their place of residence from 20 million to 50 and , whereas significantly less overseas residents prefer United Kingdom as a place to live – by 1999 the grow is about 20 million people.

The most popular places chosen by UK residents in 1999 is France and Spain with a slight difference of about 2 million people, while Turkey and Greece show the lowest rate.

To sum up, there is an upward trend in visiting abroad by UK residents and coming to that country from foreign ones.
