Some people think it is more important to plant more trees in open areas in towns and cities than provide more housing. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
A certain number of individuals believe to plant more trees in open spaces in metropolises as well as towns instead of building more homes for humans. And, I concur with this kind of notion as planting more trees will provide an ample amount of benefits to modern society.
Firstly, the process of deforestation has been rapidly scaling up due to the high volume of usage of wood in various things like the production of paper to produce top-notch books for all ages of individuals and building homes near the countryside to come in vacations for enjoying in a relaxed environment. Plus, more trees are cut in colder regions, especially to produce fire with the help of woods by people to maintain their body temperature normal. Thus, for the betterment of humankind, planting more trees is required for the above uses in our daily lives.
Moreover, it is crucial for the residents of cities to incline the process of reforestation to eliminate the major problem of air pollution which is generally produced by carbon emissions from industries' smoke and automobiles. And, by planting more trees in the cities, the locals will enjoy the luxury of inhaling fresh and clean air which is a basic necessity to stay alive. According to a recent survey by Oxford University, the life span of individuals has been decreased by ten years due to the low value of the quality air index. In addition, more afforestation will reduce the effect of global warming on our planet mother earth which will be beneficial for the future generation.
To conclude, although it is quite essential to provide more housing for people, the value of planting more trees cannot be neglected. Thus, the government should maintain a balanced approach to both practices to build adequate results for mankind.
