Two maps show the change of a coastal town, called Pentland, from 1950 to 2007
The two pictures compare the differences in the layout of Pentland city which is a seaside town.
Overall, Pentland has experienced numerous changes over these 57 years and new public facilities and housing accommodations were added to this city.
The most noticeable change can be seen in the eastern part of the map where empty grasslands were converted into residential areas including the apartment complex in the northeast and houses in the southeastern parts and several stores were constructed between them.
The western part of the town also underwent numerous changes and was converted into a leisure center. It can be understood in the first glimpse that the industrial area was completely destroyed and some entertainment facilities including a swimming pool, a cinema and a small park were added. The last point worth mentioning is that although the roads remain the same over this period, the automobile parking on the right side was omitted and a new parking facility was added just on the right side of the map.
