Some people believe that there should be fixed punished for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstance of an individual crime and the motivation of committing it always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both views and your own opinion.
Proper punishment for crimes is essential for maintaining a secure society. Even if, the crimes and its motivation are different in each crime, some people argue for fixed punishments. However, I feel that all crimes are investigated well before deciding the punishment.
Most countries have prescribed punishment for certain crimes. Many people want to see severe punishments for shocking or violent crimes. On the one hand fixed punishments speeds up prosecution, so that victims do not have to wait for years to see justice. People knowing that there is permanent penalty, means no consideration...
