The picture illustrates the process of manufacturing electricity in a hydroelectric power station. Overall, this is a cyclical process with water from the river as input and electricity as output as well as water is reversed to the beginning step for the continued procedure in the day followed.
As it can be seen, at the first step, water from the river flow in high-level reservoir which is controlled by a dam. After that, in the daytime, water from the storage flows through intake, which is opened at daylight and closed at night, through a pile to the generator section. Followed by the previous step, reversible turbines turn around at a certain speed to produce electricity and then transferred power lines of nation grids to people using. In the next stage, water through turbines stage runs to the low-level reservoir for the reversed process at night.
In the nighttime, water from the second storage runs through turbines one more time, in which this equipment pumps water back to high-level reservoir, hence, water is prepared for the whole process in the following day.
