In general, it is noticeable that the rate of female who passed their driving tests dominated through all four years and there appeared a stable increase in the rate of both men and women in the first three years.
In 1980, the percentage of women who passed their driving tests was registered nearly 50%, after which this feature climbed up to 52% within 10 years. Year 2000 made the top position in the rate of females owning a driving license with approximately 68%. However, this was followed by a slight fall under 65% in 2010.
The rate of females and males share the same gradual development in the first 3 years but there was a different trend in the last year. To be more exact, the percentage of men in 1980, 1990 and 2000 were 28%, 37% and 49% respectively. In the next 10 years, the rate remained the same at 49%.
