Over the period, this area witnessed dramatic changes, with the addition of a new area and the size adjusting in the ocean hall and former mammal area. These modifications are to improve visitors’ experience quality.
The ocean hall after five years had been expanded, while the original mammal area shrunk and converted to the ground for the ice age and insect displays. It is also noticeable that the layouts for dinosaurs and the lobby hall remained untouched after the renovation.
Meanwhile, the map in 2013 showed a new multipurpose area in the east. With the mammal display being moved to the north of this area, the observation for visitors located in the northeast provides people with the best observation experience. Added in the southwest corner was a new shop, and next to it was where people can have coffee.
