Today, with a large & increasingly younger section of the population regularly being afflicted by various diseases, & general health levels going down throughout the world, the recommendation proposed by the argument may sound logical to a lot of people. But I'd like to begin by saying that I disagree with the proposed argument. The previous record of a doctor should not be enough to judge his overall level of competence. The education & evaluation system in medicine is still stringent enough to ensure that a person needs to have a basic level of competence in order to pass through that system...
