The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The demonstrated graphics indicated roots of police fundings as well as shares of spending aspects from a police budget in Britain for 2 years. Overall, the police was funded profoundly by the national government and the most expenditure came from employees' wages.
On the one hand, looking at the authorities' budget, it can be implied that the national government sponsorship contributed a largest amount of money, in particular, 175,5m in 2017 and a slight rise of 2,3m in 2018. Contrastly, other sources of police budget such as grants only brings about 38m, which is the lowest amount in comparison to other sources. However, another source of police funds, local taxes, experienced a dramatic increase of roughly 11,2%, from 91,2m in 2017 to 102,3 in 2018.
On the other hand, the police spendings on this budget was mainly on salaries for officers and staff. This accounted for 75% of total spendings and dropped to 69% in 2018. Silmutaneously, buildings and transport was invested in with a considerable amount of 17% of total budget. This static remain unchanged until 2018. Technology expense, remarkably, witnessed an up-spend from 8% to 14% of police total funds.
In conclusion, the cops budget input was largly came from governement support and the police spent the most of their budget on paying off their employees. Otherwise, there is an outstanding increase in taxes income and technology expenditure.
