Not surprisingly, the professor repudiates this assertion by contending that we can see the Moon at night because of the reflection of the sunlight. It is impossible to see the TLP while you can see the Moon since the reflected light from the Moon is much brighter than the reflected light from a bunch of rocks.
To sum up, both the lecturer and the author hold conflicting views on the main reasons that are responsible for the formation of TLP.
