The line graph and bar chart in combination depict the quantity of means of transport and a prediction about the CO2 emissions in two different countries over two decades, from 2000 to 2020. Overall , it was explicitly witnessed that the upward trend can be seen in most categories in both charts. While all of the figures significantly increased, the categories of CO2 discharge from buses and vans were a noticeable exception.

In detail, there was an exponential escalation in the number of vehicles in England and Wales over 20 years. In the first decade, the figure of vehicles experienced a doubled increase from 20 million to approximately 40 million, at which it continued growing substantially to over 60 million vehicles in 2020, overtaking the figure in 2010 by a wide margin.
The bar chart was matched by a roughly similar trend with moderate growth in the CO2 emissions of cars and trucks. The highest amount of discharges was seen in the sections of cars, recording 2,3 tonnes in 2010 before increasing to 3 tonnes in 2020, outnumbering all other categories. Following that, the emissions that trucks release registered 1,3 tonne in 2020, higher than the figure in 2010, but being dwarfed by the emissions in cars by a huge gap. Conversely, the emissions of vans underwent a minor fluctuation with 0,7 tonnes and 0,6 tonnes in 2010 and 2020 respectively. The same pattern can be seen in the CO2 discharges from buses.
