The diagrams illustrate the development that occurred in Youngsville in New Zealand between 1980 and 2005.
Overall, Youngsville experienced a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which is the construction of a stadium. Additionally, a great number of houses and trees had disappeared by 2005.
To the north of the River Alanah, in 1980, there were five residential houses in the vacant in the northeast edge, but those houses were destroyed and replaced by a stadium, a car-park and a slightly expansion of the railway. Trees located in the north of the small lake were cut down to make the way for a car-park , while trees situated in opposite site were chopped down and replaced by a park. The hospital in the southwest corner still existed.
To the south of the River Alanah, in the east area, skyscrapers were built on the original site of accommodations and trees. Meanwhile, in the west area of the straight road, four factories and a warehouse were erected to replace the residences, the green area and the woodland, while no changes were made to the school, airport and car-park.
