The maps illustrate the development which happened in a town called Darwin over a 5-year period starting in 2009.
From an overall perspective, it is clear that a Darwin-based town became more modern. The most significant changes are the appearance of more accomodations, a university building and a harbour.
Looking at the changes in more detail, we can see that two pools was introduced in the left bank of the sea in 2009, but still kept intact in 2014. The convention center located in Northwest of the town experienced no changes in situation. A similar pattern was seen in the school accessing the center. Meanwhile, the fishing are not relocated throughout the period given
There was a big circle in the center of the town including an industrial area, lake and trees and they still stayed unchanged 5 years later. More houses was erected to the south of the circle. In the south of the residential buildings, the industrial area was destroyed to make way for more green spaces with an addition of an university building to the Southwest of the town. There was a footpath leading to the newly-built harbour on the beach, which made the town touristic.
