Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The given line graph compares three nations in terms of the ratio of the community over the age of 65 from 1940 to 2040.
What stands out from the graph is that there were two trends that reached higher than the other in the first 80 years. However, between 2020 and 2040 Japan's population will surpass the other two countries and reach a peak.
Starting at a quite high point, the rate of population of USA and Sweden growth markedly to around 15% in 1980. In the next 40 years, the number of people in USA reduced slightly to 14%. Besides, in Sweden fluctuated and reach about 18% at 2020. Over the period of prediction, these figures will bounce to 23% and 26% respectively in the two nations of the USA and Sweden in the last 20 years.
Looking at the beginning of the lowest line in the chart, it can be seen that the proportion of citizens over 65 years old in Japan went down to 3% within the first 20 years before remaining stable between 1980 and 2000. With the projection, this number will rocket rapidly up to more than 25% in the final year.
