Essay topics:

The three pie charts below show the total spending by a particular UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.

The three given pie charts compare a specific school in the UK in terms of how it allocated its budgets over a period of 20 years from 1981 to 2001.
It is evident from the charts that most of the money were spared for Teachers’ salaries. Additionally, an oscillating trend was recorded in all categories, except for the figures of Other workers’ salaries and Insurance.
In 1981, the school expensed a majority of its budgets for Teachers’ remunerations, with 40%, which outnumbered the share of Other workers’ salaries by approximately two to one, at 28%. At the same time, the rates of Resources and Furniture and equipment accounted for a comparable figure, at 15% of the total, compared to 2% of the money allotted to Insurance.
To 1991, the proportion of Teachers’ salaries increased marginally to 50%, at which point it started to undergo a minimal drop to 45% in 2001. Meanwhile, the figure for other workers’ remunerations dipped slowly to 22% and 15% in 1991 and 2001 respectively, compared to a fluctuation witnessed in that of Furniture and equipment to 23% in 2001. By contrast, whereas the percentage of Resources grew insignificantly to 20% in 1991, then plummeted to 9% in 2001, this school was inclined to spend more money on Insurance, with 3% and 8% of its budgets in 1991 and 2001 in turn.
