Passage believes dinosaurs are endotherms professor disagrees
Endotherms are defined as species that keep their body temperature constant. Humen are a valid example of endotherms, since they keep their baody temperature at exactly 37 degrees no matter the weather. There are many discussions about whether dinosours were endotherm or not. The passage gives reasons why they should be considered as endotherms. However the professor disagrees with the statement altogether which will be explained in the following.
First reason being, dinosaurs’ fossils were discovered in polar area which can mean they could leave in very low temperature areas without a problem. The lecturer on the other hand believes that is not right because the weather was warmer in the polar region back when dinosaurs existed, and even if it was cold they could migrate or even hibernate.
Second, The passage argues that there is connection between them being endotherms and the position and movement of thei legs. Teacher disagrees that their body structure is the way it is only for that reason. This type of bone structure is good for more weight which helped dinosuars with the way the lived.
Thirdly, reason given is their bone structure. The letter believes that haversion canals in their bone structure helped blood vessels and nerves allowed them to grow. Professor states that their bones had also had growth rings which stopes bone growth when weather gets cooler.
