The line graph illustrates the proportion of citizens between 1970 and 2020, also it predict that figure in 2030 and 2040 of Asian countries including Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
Overall, the proportion of residents living in Malaysia was by far the most increasing figure over the period shown. In the meanwhile, citizens in Thailand provided the lowest percentage each year.
In 1970, it can be seen that 35% was the highest figure of citizen living in Philippines. The second placed for that proportion of Malaysia. Thirdty year later, the figure of Malaysia's population rose rapidly to 60% overtook that percentage of Philippines nearly 20 times, while it saw a sharply decline in figure of Phillipines's residents to 45%. In 2010, the proportion of citizens living in Malaysia rocketed significantly and reached a peek at nearly 90% at the end of the period. By contrast, the proportion of Philippines residents decreased slightly to 40% and restore back to 55% in 2024.
In 1970, there was a negligible proportion of citizens living in Thailand and Indonesia with just 19% and 12%, respectively. The upward trend to nearly 30% was saw in the proportion of residents in both countries thirdty years later. While the figure of Thailand's citizens increased substaintial and reached the second place with nearly 60%. In 2024, that percentage of of Thailand stayed stable until 2020 it rocketed to more than 40% in the end of the period.
