The graph shows the number of people taking part in 4 kinds of sports in a particular region between 1985 and 2005.
The line graph illustrates how the proportion of people those are participating in the four types of sport in a certain region between 20 years, starting from 1985 to 2005.
Overall, rugby was considered as the most favourite sport that had many people took part in the first period while badminton was placed the last position in 1985. Besides, tennis tended to increase slightly to become the most favorite sport at that time whereas rugby decreased significantly. Two remaining of other sports remained stable and have no considerable change.
In 1985, the number of people those taking part in rugby stood at just under 250 and surpassing the figure for tennis players by around 150. In addition, basketball and badminton have witnessed a low participation rates, with around 80 and 50 respectively.
In the next year, the number of people playing rugby decreased, hitting a low of 50 as the same as badminton in the same year. In contrast, the upward trend was tennis with its participation rates increasing to around 225 at the end of the period and become the first rank. Finally, the figure for badminton and basketball saw no substantial changes after 20 years, at around 50 and 80 respectively.
