different age groups between 2011 and 2012.
From the statistics, it can be inferred that the population in New Zealand across
the ages shows a slight change within a year. Although the total of all ages has
gone up, in which the age under 40 years old has reduced small.
Looking at the table, the number of New Zealanders who aged between 40 and 64
has risen from 1,331,907 to 1,339,898. While at this age group the percentage of
the population has only growth about 0.6%, in those over 65 there is a more
breakthrough that it has surged remarkably to 4%. From there, the proportion of
the New Zealand community in all ages group has also progressed markedly by
0.6% from 4,381,269 to 4,410,284.
In the opposite trend to the upward trends, the proportion of people living in
New Zealand who aged between 15 and 39 and under 15 years old declined
minimally around 0,2% instead of increasing. However, the figures for the age
group from 15 to 39 years old still has the highest population compared to other
age groups in both years.
