In recent years, there has been growing interest in the relationship between equality and personal achievement. Some people believe that individuals can achieve more in egalitarian societies. Others believe that high levels of personal achievement are possible only if individuals are free to succeed or fail according to their individual merits. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
In the last years, there has been an increasing concern in the bond between equality and personal achievement. Some people assume that individuals can achieve more in egalitarian communities. Others think that high stages of individual achievement are probable only if people are free to succeed or fail according to their personal advantages. This essay will discuss the importance of equal opportunities.
People who assume that society equality is not important believe that the freedom in failing will help the person to reach his highest personal success. For instance, if a person lives in a country difficultly, he will try improve his life by succeeding. The hard life will force him to achieve important things so he can live comfortably. He did not have the chance so he will try to recreate it.
On the other hand, people who supports equality think that it's justice. If a child hates his community this may lead he won't bother himself by improving. He may be a genius but because of lack of Justice he will not use his cleverness. He will also hate people who reached high stages while he didn't have the chance.
In conclusion, absence of enquality will only lead to hateness between society's members and not all people will respond to it positively. My opinion is that egalitarian communities are crucial.
