The provided table illustrates the police income in a certain British area in two years 2017 and 2018, while the accompanying pie chart shows the spending categories which the police department distributed over the examined years.
Overall, there was a marginal increase in the amount of monetary contribution among all three sources in 2018 compared to 2017. Additionally, while the part spending on building and transport investments experienced a stability throughout the two years surveyed, the technology and salaries sections witnessed a slight change.
According to the table, there was a rise of approximately 14 million in the total budget of the police department in the comparison of the year 2017 and 2018. The majority of this alternation was attributed to local taxes, accounting for over two thirds of the income change at 11.1 million (from 91.2 million in 2017 to 102.3 million in 2018). The other two categories, including national government and other sources, contributed to this department with 2.3 million and 0.5 million, respectively.
Moving on to the pie chart, the rise of 6 percent (from 8 percent to 14 percent) in the technological spending over the two years was at the expense of the portion of buildings and transport investments, which decreased from 75 percent in 2017 to 69 percent in 2018. However, salaries for officers and staff remained constant at 17 percent in both 2017 and the following year.
