Looking in more detail from the chart, at the beginning, The US government spent 2.5 to 7.5 billions dollars on their five topics of research that the highest for health studies and the least for general science studies. In the next 4 years, the spending on the research except general science and energy sectors showed a slight decrease by 1 to 2 billions dollars. However, after that, there was a dramatic increase on money spent for health experiments reached a peak at approximately 22.5 billions dollars in 2004 and ended at 17.5 billions dollars in 2008. Additionally, although it was not significant, the spending on space and general science investigations also climbed by around 2,5 to 4 billions dollars, respectively. On the other hand, the budget for other topics of research showed a decline by 2.5 billions dollars at the end of the periods although it had positive curve patterns. Finally, the budget for energy studies fluctuated at the range of 5 to 7.5 billion dollars.
