Comfort zone bias is defined as the way we decide to do a comfortable work rather than doing an advantageous but risky one. The professor states that this mostly happens in career choices and explains his friend’s situation who wanted to become a film reviewer and he always used to practice reviewing films and writing about them because he liked this job, along with he could get free films to watch and write about them. However, he could not find a film reviewer job and then became a news reporter. After a while, he got a chance to become film reviewer but as he realized that he is pretty good as a reporter turned his chance down. Although the new job was offering him more earnings, he refused to accept the opportunity to become a film reviewer.
