The given pie charts shows the proportion of British students able yo use languages other than english. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The pie charts provide information about the percentage of students in the UK who speak other languages in addition to English. Overall, it is readily apparent more students mastered other languages in addition to English, except for German in which the proportion of its speakers remained stable.
At the beginning of the given period, the number of students who were able to speak only Spanish comprised 30%, and in the following period, it increased by 5%. Similar trends were also seen in the number of students mastering another language and another two languages, in the initial year, the former accounted for 15% and the letter was responsible for 10%, and in 2010 every of which increased by 5%.
Furthermore, the proportion of students who could speak no other language was 20%, and in 2020 it fell to only 10%. Students who mastered French as a second language also declined in the first reporter years showing that 15% of students were French speakers, and in 2010 only 10% of the pupils mastered French only in addition to their native language (English). Additionally, 10% of the students were reported to speak German only and this figure was changed in 2010.
