I think attending a group activity is the best way to make new friends for some reasons. First of all, people become friends when they have something in common and people in a group activity certainly have the same interests. For example, I used to play in a basketball team a few years ago and all the members were interested in sports. I made very close friends that we are still together. Secondly, people in a group have more social interactions rather than any other ways of making friends because group members need to cooperate with each other to reach the group’s purposes. For instance, I go mountain climbing with a bunch of people that we help each other to reach the mountain peak and we are very good friends.
